Hiking to Gulebi Top from Batumi

Overview

Day trip to the top of the mountain with an amazing 360 view, guided by a professional and certified tour guide.

We start the tour from Batumi at 10:00. After an hour of driving, you will reach the small town in the mountains called Keda and the village of Gulebi. This is a historical village, famous for the heroic resistance of locals fighting for freedom.

We shall start hiking from Gulebi to the top of the mountain, where there was a fortress and shelter for local warriors. Nowadays, a small chapel that has remained and represents an important part of the region’s historical and cultural heritage. On the way, we will pass beautiful forests, rich with different varieties of endemic plants. After a few hours of hiking, we will reach the top, the Gulebi fortress, with an amazing panoramic view. You will have enough time to take beautiful photos, and later on, we will hike back to the village. The hike is 8 km, both ways. After the hike, there is a possibility to have a delicious dinner at the locals’. In the evening, we will return to Batumi.
